The Domaine du Rayol – known also as the Jardin des Méditerranées – is a 20 hectare protected site where local plants merge with their cousins from across the world. The peaceful garden is an ode in praise of colour and scent. And it’s just a short hop from the hotel, meaning it’s just the right place for a short nature walk, which is a delight for the senses, between two dips in the sea.
Make the most of your seaside break and set out to explore the celebrated Îles d’Or, which lie facing the Terrasses du Bailli. Our partner, Vedettes Îles d’Or & Le Corsaire, runs trips out to sea where you can see the Var coastline as never before.
Le Lavandou, Cavalaire, La Croix Valmer, or why not the island of Porquerolles? You can cast off from different starting points and stopovers.
If you’re wondering what there is to do in Rayol Canadel, the delightful villages along the coast host a constantly changing selection of activities. The events held in the Var region follow thick and fast all year long, celebrating the return of the mimosa from January. And then there are the sporting and artistic things to do and see (music or the theatre, for example) with the changing seasons.
What is there to do in Rayol Canadel? Enjoy the magnificent beaches, where you can swim, top up your tan or walk for hours on end with your toes in the water, of course! Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer boasts three different beaches: Rayol, the nearest to the Terrasses du Bailli hotel, Canadel and Pramousquier.
These beaches, which are supervised in season, are as splendid as they are welcoming. Here you’ll find places to eat (including fish in all shapes and sizes at L’Escale!), games for the children to play, and sports activities.
Would you like to snap the perfect photo while you’re on the Côte d’Azur? Take a hike and head to the Col du Canadel at an altitude of 269 m: the view here is quite spectacular and makes the climb more than worthwhile! A number of different trails will lead you here, taking you via the Pointe de l’Écuelle, the Col de l’Étoile and the famous Route des Crêtes, not to mention the summit of Malabar.
As you can see, there’s more than enough for a holiday you’ll never forget in Rayol Canadel!
