The island of Porquerolles and the Fondation Carmignac

Set out to sea and spend the day on Porquerolles. On the agenda: tour the island by bike, enjoy a swim at the Plage d’Argent and visit the Fondation Carmignac, a museum of modern art.

Excursion with a nature expert

Set off to discover dolphins in their natural environment and enjoy the expertise of a cetacean specialist on a boat trip that leaves from the port of Le Lavandou. Le Lavandou is home to many species of cetaceans, forming part of the Pelagos Sanctuary, a maritime area covered by an agreement that protects the marine mammals that live there.

Hike from Gigaro to L’Escalet

A lovely walk from Gigaro beach (La Croix-Valmer) to L’Escalet beach (Ramatuelle). A string of small beaches and coves dotted with rocks and fine sand as you discover Cap Lardier and Cap Taillat.

Distance and time one-way (plan a second car on arrival for the return journey): 8.5 km / 2 hours 40 min.

Round-trip: 17 km / 5 hours 20 min.

 

Hike from Pellegrin to Brégançon Fort

Pellegrin beach (in Bormes-les-Mimosas) is an ideal starting point for following the coastal path to Fort Brégançon. Take the opportunity to have lunch at Café Léoube and enjoy an outstanding landscape where the vines rub shoulders with the Mediterranean.

The sea garden at Domaine du Rayol

Put on your flippers, mask and snorkel and set off to explore the underwater fauna and flora in the Baie du Figuier. Set out from the beach accompanied by a facilitator-cum-guide from Domaine du Rayol. All equipment provided.

Rayol beaches

Only a few yards from our hotel, there are two small family beaches. You can rent an air bed on Le Bailli de Suffren’s private beach or settle down on the public section of the beach (subject to availability).

 

Pramousquier beach

Just after Canadel, a small beach sheltered from the wind.

 

Gigaro beach in La Croix-Valmer

A beach lined with pine trees that has kept all its natural character. Several seafront restaurants nearby.

 

Saint-Clair beach in Le Lavandou

Fine sandy beach nestled at the foot of a forest of pine trees. Numerous restaurants on the seafront.

 

Fossette beach in Le Lavandou

Take the underground passage beneath the D559 and walk along the vines: you will come to the quietest of Le Lavandou’s beaches.
